'K-Beauty Is at Risk' campaign launched

CIBA (Chairman Park Mi-jung) held its year-end 2022 annual general meeting and an academic seminar on November 19 at the Esthetic Eungyeom seminar room in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province.

Attendees discussed growing misuse of the 'K-Beauty' name abroad. As pandemic-era distancing rules eased overseas, some cosmetics and beauty-equipment companies — mainly in Southeast Asia — were found to be issuing 'K-Beauty'-branded diplomas to local practitioners, prompting the association to launch an awareness campaign.
